re:create is great for parties. We have a wide range of creative parties for boys and girls of all ages. From felt making to silk painting, pottery to Plasticine.

Adult’s Parties
It is not just for the kids either. Bring a bottle of wine and a few friends and have a laugh making felt or gossip whilst you make some jewellery. Our central town location means there is plenty of parking and it is easy to go on to a restaurant or bar.

Children's Parties
Minimum number of 6 children. A £50 deposit is required to secure booking. Confirmation of final numbers and full payment 48 hours in advance.

Under 5’s
Stories and Sticking
This party is perfect for the under 5’s. Boys and Girls. The party begins with a few songs, followed by a story, told by a professional storyteller. The children then do a craft activity linked to the story. This is all finished off with a game and another story.
You are welcome to have your party tea at re:create before the children leave with their imaginations alive and their tummies full.
5 to 8 years
Silk Painting
Always a favourite at re:create our silk painting parties are suitable for boys and girls. With a huge variety of designs to choose from we have something for everyone. The paintings are beautifully mounted and make perfect take home gifts.
Pottery
Cosy Pets
Animals are always a popular theme with this age group, so we have developed the perfect party. First the children create the perfect bed for their pet, a little basket with a cosy cushion. Then they will be shown how to make a cute little dog or cat to go in the basket. If there is any time left they make little toys and a bowl to make their pets world complete.
We use air-dry clay and the children can take their pet home and paint them when they are dry
8 to 11 years
Recycling Parties
By this age many children have discovered what a lot we waste and love to find these imaginative solutions to our rubbish problem.
Plastic Bag Pets
Plastic bags my soon be a thing of the past but whilst they are still around let us show you how to turn them into pom pom pets. Your pets don’t have to be animals. Loads of kids have left with a family of plastic bag aliens tucked into their party bags.
Junk Jewellery
Many of us want to throw our computer keyboards through our computer screens. Luckily lots of people throw them re:create’s way and we turn them into fun and funky jewellery. Everyone goes home with at least a ‘key’ ring and bracelet. All made out of stuff other people would chuck into landfill.
Silk Painting
This is such a great activity we offer it to all ages. Only the designs change. This age group have a better understanding of colour and produce some truly beautiful results. Instead of the paper mounts we can put these designs on a simple bag. (Please ask for prices)
Paper Shoes
This is an exquisite craft. At this party you will use old magazines, comics in fact any old paper products to make the perfect paper shoes. You can even add photos to turn them into a beautiful keepsake. This workshop requires dexterity and patience and is therefore unsuitable for the younger ones.
An ancient craft but one that is as much fun today. This party will show you the basics and you will make something to take home. But, be warned, once you have the bug you will find it almost impossible to resist going home and making more
Volcanoes
One for the boys (or science loving girls who like a mess). Create your own volcano. Model it paint it and then see it erupt! Back at home it works really well as part of a landscape for war hammer or Lego.
Felting
The art of felt making has been around since the cavemen. True! Here at recreate we hope we are a little more up to date, both with our techniques and our results. Learn the basics and then go on to make the sweetest little bowl. Perfect for filling goodies as a take home gift.
11+
Silk Painting
Yes even the over 11s still love this beautiful craft and are the perfect age to experiment with more complex designs.
Felting
As they get older children have more oomph and so can make bigger and more complex felt items beads, bags, purses or more elaborate versions of the bowls the younger children make.
Claymation
Are you a budding Nick Park? Why not have a plasticine party. We will show you and your chums some of the basics of stop frame animation and you will go home having produced a short animation which we copy onto disk to share with friends and family.
Beading
These parties are run by GetBeading.co.uk and cost a little more than out usual parties but they do come out with several beautiful pieces of jewellery made from the finest glass beads. Our experienced tutors show you the basic techniques required to start out on what may be a long and satisfying relationship with jewellery making. Everything you make will be put in a sweet drawstring bag to take home.
